This tasting pack contains a selection of 8 different types of pasta and sauces from Fattoria La Vialla:
- 1 bag Spaghetti (500 g)
- 1 bag Fusilli (500 g)
- 1 bag Pappardelle all’uovo (wide ribbon egg pasta, 250 g)
- 1 bag Rigatoni (stoneground durum wheat pasta, 500 g)
- 1 jar Sugo Bombolino (spicy cherry tomato sauce, 280 g)
- 1 jar Sugo di carne alla Toscana (Tuscan style ragu, 280 g)
- 1 jar Pesto (basil pesto, 180 g)
- 1 jar Peperotta (red pepper pesto, 180 g)
The Fattoria’s numerous pasta shapes – Spaghetti, Pici, Penne, Fusilli, Manfredine, Strozzapreti and others – whether long, short, classic or “Viallino”, are all artisanally made using organically-biodynamically grown durum or emmer wheat. Some are made using stoneground, semi-wholegrain durum wheat semolina, while the emmer pasta is made with wholegrain flour. The pasta is “bronze-drawn” and dried very slowly at a low temperature. It is also delicious simply dressed with a drizzle of olive oil (you really should try it!), but its true “destiny” is served with a sauce. The ones from the Fattoria are prepared using recipes that have their roots in the most ancient culinary traditions of rural Tuscany. They are made, according to the season, using organically and biodynamically grown, freshly harvested vegetables from La Vialla’s vegetable patch, which are processed in the Fattoria’s sauce-kitchen at low temperatures and without the addition of preservatives (apart from natural ones such as lemon and extra virgin olive oil).
