This is a (par-cooked) purée of tomatoes, picked when ripe, mixed with a pinch of fresh vegetables and a few basil leaves to add flavour, and all chopped up very finely. Pomarolina was studied and developed for children from one to three years of age. Once the sauce has been added to the pasta, add 1-2 teaspoons of grated Parmigiano or pecorino and a drizzle of olive oil, before mixing and serving.... and it’s not only popular with children, as it is both delicious and easy to digest.
