Grape blend: 100% Sangiovese
Sangiovese is the “spirit” of Tuscany, the red grape most cultivated and loved by its inhabitants (and not just by them!). It’s difficult to find it freshly squeezed, without alcohol, with the aroma and flavour of fresh grapes in the vineyard. At the Fattoria we have been bottling Freshly Squeezed Sangiovese Grape Juice for 12 years now! It’s genuine, natural and full of beneficial properties, of vitamin C, iron and polyphenols (a 200 ml bottle of “Spremuta di Uva” contains more than 90 mg of polyphenols, natural antioxidants). Straight after picking, the grapes are destemmed and pressed; the “cream” of the juice remains in contact with the skins for a few hours, to encourage the extraction of polyphenols. After resting for 24 hours, without anything being added and without filtering, the “Spremuta” is bottled. Pasteurisation is carried out at a low temperature, much to the “delight” of the vitamins and to the flavour of fresh grape must.
Tasting – Colour: intense crimson with a typical pulpy sediment. Aroma: plums, small red fruits and Marasca cherries. Taste: sweet, supported by a good amount of acidity that makes the flavour even more pleasant.
Suggestions – Drink it at room temperature or chilled, possibly diluted with water (with or without “bubbles”, according to taste), with ice cubes, slices of fruit or a little lemon (if and as you wish). Or (only) for “grownups”, mixed with some well chilled sparkling wine!
