Grape blend: 100% Uva Fragola
The “uva fragola” grape juice is prepared with one of the most aromatic varieties that grapevines give us, which, in its flavour and aroma, recalls another delicious fruit, the strawberry (in fact “fragola” means strawberry in Italian). The Fattoria’s “uva fragola” grapes are grown in the Maremma area and, seeing that an old law prohibits their vinification, we make the most of their special taste – with the aroma and flavour of wild strawberries – in the form of a non-alcoholic, sparkling fruit juice. To make it, the “cream” of the grape must – which flows out of the press first and has the most aroma – is immediately separated from the rest. It’s kept at a temperature of 0 °C for a day and then transferred into a pressurised tank; the coarse lees are eliminated and the temperature is kept constantly low. The juice, made fizzy with very fine bubbles, is then bottled and pasteurised. Treated in this way, the must doesn’t ferment and doesn’t produce alcohol.... Appreciated by young and old alike, it’s good for parties, as a healthy aperitif, to serve with desserts, delicate cheeses or... whatever you prefer!
Tasting – Just like the bunches of “uva fragola” grapes, it has a characteristic pinkish purple colour. It has the aroma of wild strawberries, currants and fresh grapes. In the mouth it’s sweet (purely thanks to the fruit) but balanced by excellent acidity; its bubbles reproduce on the palate the seductive aromas perceived.
NB: A 375 ml bottle of sparkling “Uva Fragola” grape juice contains more than 300 mg of polyphenols, natural antioxidants.
