Notes about La Vialla’s eco sustainability

The paper and cardboard used by Fattoria La Vialla are certified: FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) recycled, for the protection of forests and the environment.

In addition, 90% of the production processes with which they are made are certified carbon neutral. This means that the original producers compensate CO2 emissions through funding for reforestation or for the production of renewable energy.


Since 2014, in collaboration with the University of Siena, the “La Fabbrica del Sole” cooperative and natureOffice, Fattoria La Vialla has been measuring its “carbon footprint” in terms of CO2 equivalent.  The resulting emissions balance is better than neutral, overall La Vialla absorbs more CO2 than it emits Find out more…

Overall, Fattoria La Vialla absorbs more CO2 than it emits. In the five-year period from 2014 to 2018, it absorbed a total of 20,605.75 tCO2e… and we’re proud to be able to say that La Vialla, as of 2020, is one of the first companies to be certified as “climate positive” by natureOffice (the German company that implements environmental and climate protection projects, with which La Vialla has been collaborating since 2010).
So, La Vialla doesn’t have a negative impact on the environment, but actually helps improve the ecosystem and climate.
