Grape blend: 100% Sangiovese
This Sangiovese grape juice is sparkling! It contains the aromas and flavours of the vineyard, like the other one, but with a lively, bubbly touch. In Tuscany, a glass (or two) of freshly pressed must – a thirst-quenching juice, a precious “pick-me-up” enjoyed by all – has always been drunk during the grape harvest. At the Fattoria this old tradition has been enhanced with bubbles, which heighten the taste and freshness. The Spremuta is, however, completely alcohol-free, to the delight of children and those who do not drink alcoholic beverages. As well as being delicious and healthy, it’s a valuable source of vitamins (in particular C), iron and numerous polyphenols, the grapes’ natural antioxidants, of which it contains over 450 mg/l. After harvesting (the best bunches are selected) and pressing, the juice rests on the skins at a low temperature for the length of time required to extract the tannins and polyphenols. The sparkling Spremuta di “Uva Sangiovese” is bottled and sealed with a champagne cork, then it’s pasteurised at a controlled temperature to avoid the formation of alcohol and preserve the richness of aroma and flavour. Uncorked nicely chilled, it’s an ideal aperitif for the whole family, so everyone can raise their glass, from grandparents to children!
Tasting – Colour: bright, shimmering reddish purple that turns towards garnet as time passes. The nose: floral aromas of violets with hints of small red fruits, blackberries and blueberries. Vegetal notes of green tea. In the mouth: the vivacity of the widespread effervescence heightens the fresh flavour of grapes, perfectly balanced between sweetness and acidity.
