With its delicate, sweet and sour flavour, it makes a delicious side dish to serve with beef, chicken, grilled or oven-cooked fish, eggs and boiled potatoes or pulses. Caponata also makes an excellent companion for aperitifs and appetizers, on crostini, bruschetta or pizza.
