The most famous hot pasta sauce, in La Vialla’s recipe the spiciness is balanced by the creamy consistency and a few “added ingredients”, such as bell peppers. As well as on penne (and every kind of pasta), it’s perfect with grilled meat and vegetables, with scrambled eggs, used to “spice up” homemade or ready-made sauces, on crostini with vegetables, and with fresh cheeses.
