One of the first whites created at La Vialla, true to the taste and the “recipe” of the Lo Franco family; a white sibling of the blood-red Torbolone. The oenologist, Marco, “adapts” its composition to each year. In 2020, with well-distributed water and limited very hot spells, the three grape varieties chosen were characterised by a high degree of ripening, with golden bunches, full of aromas and good acidity. The Sauvignon picked had aromas closer to tropical fruit, rather than the typical tomato leaf, and it enriched the wine’s complexity in the mouth. The structure of the Chardonnay, Torbolino’s “backbone”, was excellent. The wine has an important consistency (“body”) but is also rich in varietal aromas.
Tasting – Colour: strong straw-yellow. The nose: it emanates a rich bouquet of exotic and white-fleshed fruit, in which peach, apricot and pineapple stand out. In the mouth: it’s soft, almost recalling puréed fruit, balanced by a slight citrus acidity with a dry finish.
